A NEW service to help those in debt during the cost of living crisis has been launched in Bradford.
Bradford District Credit Union (BDCU) is now offering its members a new consolidation loan, combining all their borrowing into one manageable loan.
It is aimed at helping members’ financial and mental well-being.
Members can apply for as much as £7,500 with rates from 12.7% APR, one of the lowest rates available among credit unions and other lenders.
BDCU, which was started by Bradford Council in 1993, has around 9,000 members who can use the scheme to save and borrow, safely.
It is an alternative to high street banks and doorstep loan sharks, run by its members with a fair approach to credit assessment.
