A MALE has been arrested in connection with the theft of two horse trailers.
The Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team said it happened overnight from Tuesday, January 21, to Wednesday, February 1.
The trailers, which were in the Wilsden area, were recovered in the Mixenden and Illingworth areas of Halifax.
Inside the trailers were saddles and bridles. These are still missing.
The NPT said a male has been arrested and has been bailed while police enquiries continue.
"Did anyone see the trailers being towed, moved, dumped?" said the NPT.
"Two of the saddles and the bridle belong to a seven-year-old girl who is unable to ride her pony, Sparkle, as she has no tack. The pony requires specialist tack that is difficult to source.
"Let’s try get Sparkle’s tack back for her human owner who is so upset she doesn’t want to go to school and is heartbroken.
"If anyone has any information about this theft, the crime reference is 13230060666.
"Please let us know via 101, using the online facilities, crimestoppers or at Shipleynt@westyorkshire.police.uk."
