A YOUNG woman inspiring a generation has followed her dreams and opened her own piercing and art studio.
Amber Scott, 20, from Mirfield, has set up her piercing studio ‘Tiger Eye’ on Church Road in Roberttown, Liversedge
She completed her training at TLS Piercing and Laser in Heckmondwike and was told to go for it by her mentors.

Amber said: “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a couple of years, and I’ve been saving up for it.
“I love body piercings; I’ve got a fair few in my ears.”
“We’ve been redoing the studio and I’m excited to get people in and start piercing them.
“I really want it to be a friendly space and build a bit of a community of people who can express themselves through the art of body piercing.
Amber left her nine-to-five to open her studio and get her dream started.
She took art at GCSE and A-level and was keen to make a career out of it.
She said: “When I told my mum she was fine with it, she knew I could do it, but my dad was on the fence - he supported me, but it's a big responsibility.
“Everyone has been really supportive and helpful; my dad’s been helping me do the studio up and my friends have been helping out whenever they can.
“It’s been a big job but I’m so excited to get it open and get people in.”
Amber opened her studio on January 27 and is taking walk-in appointments for piercings and people are welcome to come in and take a look at her artwork.
“I do whatever people want, I love art," she said.
“I’ve done pet portraits and then I just love experimenting with different styles and materials.”
In the future, Amber wants to level up her skill set and learn how to tattoo people.
“I really want to get into tattoos, it seems perfect because it goes hand in hand with art and I think I’ll really enjoy it.”
Her target audience is younger people who she’s reached through her Instagram page.
“It works really well-people see my work and then they get in contact," she said.
She’s the eldest of six children and hopes her self-belief and ambition are an inspiration for her siblings.
Amber, whose first week of bookings sold out, said: “I hope they know they can do whatever they want- even if it’s a bit different.
“You just have to have the guts to do it and don’t listen to what other people say.
“You have to believe in your dream and that you’ve got this.”
