A SALON open for almost two decades has shut its doors after the owner decided to change her career.
The Beauty Bar, on Harrogate Road in Rawdon, which specialises in nail enhancements, has been open for 18 years.
Owner Kat said she has decided to retrain as an ambulance worker.
A statement on The Beauty Bar Facebook page said: "After 18 successful years, our doors are closing.
"I am now attending university full time which is not allowing me any time to work.
"I would like to say thank you to every single one of you who has supported us over the years. Team beauty bar is truly grateful."
It added: "Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us over the years. Good luck to all those that I have had the pleasure of training.
"It is time for me to follow my dream of 22 years and retrain.
"I hope to not see any of you in my new career because if I do see you, then that means you have called an ambulance and I am one of the crews attending.
"Thank you again and lots of love and luck to you all."
