Police have seized a kilo of cocaine and arrested one man as part of a planned operation linked to the Humberside area.

The Yorkshire & Humber Regional and Organised Crime Unit (YH ROCU) has been carrying out enquiries in the Chadderton area of Oldham, Greater Manchester.

A significant amount of cash and a cash counting machine was also seized as part of the operation at 6.30am on Tuesday (January 31).

A 52-year-old man was arrested under the Proceeds of Crime Act and on suspicion of drugs offences.

He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 52-year-old man arrested on suspicion of POCA and drugs offences has been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
