PLANS to create new space for SEND pupils at a secondary school have been revealed by Bradford Council.
The proposed development would extend the SEND provision at Parkside School in Cullingworth to create an additional classroom.
Seven car parking spaces will have to be relocated to accommodate the development.
Based on Parkside Terrace, the school has over 1,100 pupils.
New SEND facility at Bradford Academy is approved
The planning application, submitted by Bradford Council's education services, says: "The proposed development will provide a safe, quiet, standalone resourced provision for the pupils to retreat to.
"The school will gain a specialist, purpose designed unit for the SEN pupils on the site with minimal impact on the surrounding neighbours."
A decision on the application is expected next month.
