ARMED police were scrambled to a shooting incident on Sunday evening. 

Damage was found to the ground floor window of a property in Lister Lane, Halifax at around 9pm.

A police cordon remains at the scene today.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 9.10pm yesterday evening (January 29), police received a report of a firearms discharge in Lister Lane, Halifax. 

"Armed officers were deployed to the scene, supported by local officers, where it was confirmed that no one had been injured. 

"Damage was found to the ground floor window of a property consistent with use of a firearm. 

"Enquires are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident and a police cordon remains in place at this time whilst investigative work is carried out. 

"Detectives are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dash came footage from Lister Lane or the surrounding area to come forward. 

"Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police via the 101LiveChat function on the website or by calling 101 quoting reference number 13230055576.
