In July 2022, during the COVID epidemic, an independent small business in Bowling Park launched the Lodge Café as a result of years of effort to provide Bradford residents with opportunities and a welcoming environment. When it was eventually operational, the café was able to help communities stay connected despite the harsh quarantine by delivering optimism and joy through their service of providing a space of relaxation.

Due to the popularity of the park in the area, groups of friends, families, and dog walkers have come together to support the café's ‘steady’ development by purchasing the variety of products on show. Additionally, the café has recently attracted a lot of attention on various social media platforms, which has helped them increase their clientele as well as joining with other community members from the Saint John’s church.

Remarkably, Lodge Café has been able to efficiently provide a haven for the varying numbers of diverse customers they have drawn in response to their commitment and efforts they have shown across the last year.
