CHILDREN’S bikes are being handed out for free this weekend in Bradford as part of a giveaway from a local charity.

OnTrak is behind the latest Big Bike Giveaway taking place at the Great Horton Community Hub on Saturday, January 28, from 10am.

Previous similar giveaways by the Wibsey-based charity have seen hundreds of bikes handed out to the local community.

The bikes are for children only. Those attending will need to join a queue where they will be given a ticket, which then guarantees a free bike for one child.

Officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team will be on hand and will be able to register bikes on the Bike Register for free.

OnTrak is a community initiative where its students repair the bikes which make it into its regular giveaways.
