A MAN who caused £400 worth of damage to a police vehicle has admitted criminal damage in court.

Dominic Bailey, 33, appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on January 18, to face a single charge of criminal damage to property valued at under £5,000.

The incident leading to the charge took place on Kirk Lane in Yeadon, on October 23, 2022.

Bailey, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to damaging the rear window of a West Yorkshire Police vehicle, causing a total of £400 worth of damage.

He was jailed for one week, with magistrates finding the offence so serious because he was subject to prison licence recall.

In addition, Bailey was ordered to pay a £154 surcharge to fund victim services.
