MOTORISTS are facing long delays following a crash on the M62 this afternoon.

After the accident on the westbound carriageway of the M62 between junction 27 (M621) and junction 28 (Tingley), two lanes were initially closed.

Although all lanes have now re-opened, drivers are facing long delays.

One traffic report said: Long delays and queueing traffic for seven miles due to earlier accident on M62 westbound before junction 28 A653 Dewsbury Road (Tingley). Congestion to after J30 (Rothwell).

"Traffic is slow on the M1, southbound and the M621, eastbound as a result of the accident. Travel time is around 35 minutes.

"All lanes have been re-opened."
