AN investigation into the theft of a dog continues after three people arrested in connection with the incident were released.

A black Labrador was taken from an address in Halifax on Wednesday, December 7. 

A spokesperson from the force said: "Police in Calderdale are continuing to investigate the theft of a dog in Halifax and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

"A black Labrador was taken from an address on Wednesday, December 7.

"Three people have since been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released under investigation.

"Enquiries suggest the dog may have been taken to the Merseyside area from Halifax in December and could be anywhere in the UK. 

"Officers are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the dog as pictured below, to contact police on the 101LiveChat function on the website quoting reference 13220680116.

"Information can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
