SOCIAL housing provider Incommunities is set to splash £120 million on improving its homes.

The Shipley-based firm is set to deliver the works to homes across the region in the next five years.

The housing improvement projects that are to begin shortly include kitchen and bathroom replacements, heating upgrades, re-wiring and also work to improve the fabric of the building including new windows, doors and roofs.

Incommunities will be working with key partners IAG Mechanical Ltd, Wates Property Services and EQUAN Regeneration on the projects.

These suppliers will be looking to recruit 24 apprentices between them and deliver 50 school events to strengthen pathways for school leavers into construction.

In addition, 12 work placements will be offered to support customers to get into work and the aim is for seven new permanent jobs to be created within the Bradford district.
