ROADWORKS on a key commuting route into Bradford are causing delays to motorists.

The works on Carr House Road in Shelf, include temporary traffic lights, and were causing delays of around 30 minutes for drivers on Tuesday morning.

Yorkshire Water is behind the roadworks, which are located near the Lidl store and Prince of Orange pub.

They are described as utility repair and maintenance works and are scheduled to run until Friday, January 27.

“We just want to let you know that we are aware of how inconvenient roadworks can be.

"We carefully plan in the works under strict license from the local authority to ensure the disruption is kept to a minimum”, said Yorkshire Water.
