A WOMAN has been fined after being caught speeding on a major Bradford district road.
Maryum Yusaf, 24, of Leafield Avenue, Bradford, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.
She was clocked by manned equipment speeding at 79mph in a 50mph speed zone of Sir Fred Hoyle Way, also known as Bingley Bypass, Bingley. This offence took place on November 19, 2022.
Yusaf was fined £440 and ordered to pay a £176 victim surcharge and £90 costs. She was also handed six driving licence points for the charge. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
The offence was contrary to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Yusaf pleaded to the charge and was sentenced at a single justice procedure hearing held at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on January 12, 2023.
