WORK is underway to prepare a number of streets in Bradford city centre for the filming of a star-studded Netflix movie.
Six Triple Eight, a drama set during the height of the Second World War, is set to be filmed in Bradford’s Little Germany next month.
The film follows the story of the Second World War’s only all-black, all-female unit.
Its cast is led by Kerry Washington, star of TV drama Scandal, Susan Sarandon and talk show host and actor Oprah Winfrey.

A day of filming for the movie is scheduled to take place in Little Germany on Thursday, February 16. But preparation work by the production company got underway on Sunday, January 22 in some streets in the area.
Scoresby Street and Burnett Street are closed from Monday, January 23 to Friday, January 27, to enable the streets to be dressed for the production, with cones and road closed signs spotted.
A yellow Bradford Council-headed sign could also be seen on Hick Street in Little Germany, explaining filming work will take place there over the next four weeks with parking there suspended.
The streets in Little Germany affected by the filming work are: Scoresby Street, Burnett Street, Cater Street, Vicar Lane and Currer Street.
