A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction after a 16-year-old girl was reportedly grabbed before running to safety.

Police have now made an arrest after stepping up patrols following the alleged incident near Bowling Cemetery on Rooley Lane, Bradford, at 4.20pm on Friday, January 20.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said this morning: "A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction and remains in police custody at this time.

"Enquiries remain ongoing by Bradford CID."

A scene was in place limiting access to a snicket near Asda to Burras Road, while police investigations got underway.
