An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at a three storey flat in Little Horton.

Fire crews from across West Yorkshire were called to Cecil Avenue, near Horton Park and Horton Park Avenue, at 12.34am on Sunday, January 22.

The fire had spread to all floors as well as the basement and roof space apartment.

Upon arrival, crews brought residents to safety and made sure everyone was accounted for.

Firefighters used three hose reels and four breathing apparatus as well as positive pressure ventilation used for smoke clearance.

Fire crews from Fairweather Green, Odsal, Shipley, Bradford, Dewsbury, and Leeds stations were at the scene.

The fire was swiftly brought under control.
