Police have charged three young men with murder and robbery after a Huddersfield man's death.

Khalfan Seif died following an incident at his home on Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, on the edge of Huddersfield town centre, on Saturday, January 14.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

West Yorkshire Police have charged Sahil Ansar, 18, and Amaan Ansar, 19, both of Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, Huddersfield, and Wahaab Said, 19, of Broad Street, off Park Square Roundabout,  Sheffield city centre, with murder and robbery.

They are due to appear before Leeds Magistrates Court on Monday, January 23.

A 22-year-old woman arrested on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.

Enquiries into Mr Seif's death remain ongoing by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.

Detective Chief Inspector Damian Roebuck of the Homicide and Major Enquiry team said: “I would like to thank the public for their help and support in this investigation. 

“We would still appeal to anyone who has CCTV footage that might help the investigation to come forward.”
