MALE Bradford poets are invited to join a one-of-a-kind poetry event.
The event 'BrotherVerse Open Poetry Mic' was inspired by the 'Sisterhood' event which is held in Bradford.
- Join our new Bradford Out & About Facebook page to keep up with all the latest events and share the best places to go and things to do in and around the district
BrotherVerse is sponsored by Spoke - a platform that amplifies poetry and will be hosted by Andrew Doughty from Lincolnshire and Mohamed Saloo from Batley.
Poets are invited to come along and share their work in a safe space where they will be encouraged and supported in their writing.
Andrew, a passionate poet, said:" We're really excited about it.
"When we saw the success of the Sisterhood event, we wanted to do something similar for men and we came up with BrotherVerse.
"We just want a safe space for men to share their work and feel comfortable doing so."
The event will take place online via Zoom on February 24, 2022, at 7pm but tickets must be booked through Eventbrite and slots must be booked for poetry recitation.
