A MAN has been banned after being caught drug driving in Bradford.
Francis Lupton, 32, of Darren Street, Bradford, faced one charge of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
He was caught driving a motor vehicle when the proportion -5.2ug/L - of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) - (Cannabis), in Lupton’s blood exceeded the specified limit.
This offence took place on Halifax Road, Odsal, Bradford, on January 13, 2021.
Lupton was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for 24 months. A ban was deemed obligatory by the court for the offence.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
Lupton pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on January 14.
