POLICE are appealing for information after a fail to stop crash.

At 7.32pm on Wednesday (January 18) police were contacted by ambulance staff who had attended a crash on Savile Park Road where a white Peugeot had struck Bell Hall Garage in Halifax.

Officers attended and found the driver of the vehicle had suffered minor injuries.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Enquiries have established that a black saloon car drove off from the scene.

This was said to have been travelling from Elmfield Terrace prior to the collision and drove away with damage to its front.

Anyone who saw the collision or who may have information is asked to contact police in Halifax on 101 or by using the 101LiveChat on the West Yorkshire Police website.

The log reference is 1573 of 18 January.

Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.
