A 25-YEAR-old Bradford man has been jailed after beating another man with part of a fence.

Jozef Ficzu, of Killinghall Road, Bradford, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court, to face the charge of assault by beating.

The offence took place on September 28, 2022, at Killinghall Road, and Ficzu pleaded not guilty.

Court documents show that the offence was found to be so serious due to the use of a weapon – a fence post with a nail embedded.

In addition they took into account the defendant’s record of previous offending.

He was found guilty at a court hearing which took place on January 4.

Magistrates sentenced Ficzu to 12 weeks in prison and a two-year restraining order was imposed banned him from contact with the victim in the attack.
