A BRADFORD woman has appeared in court for drug possession offences.

Nicky Rayner, 40, of Maudsley Street, on the outskirts of the city centre, faced two charges.

In the first, possession of a controlled drug of class A – MDMA, she was caught with one tablet and one powder wrap of MDMA in Halifax on July 28, 2021.

Rayner was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs as well as a £34 victim surcharge for the offence.

A collection order was made and an application was made by the court for benefit deductions.

The one tablet and one powder wrap of MDMA are to be forfeited and destroyed.

There was no separate penalty for a charge of possession of a controlled drug of class A – cocaine. She was found in possession of 145mg of cocaine in Halifax on July 28, 2021.

Rayner pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on December 19, 2022.
