A WARRANT not backed for bail is still outstanding for a man who has repeatedly failed to turn up at Bradford Crown Court to be sentenced for possession of criminal property.

When Faiz Anjum, 45, again failed to appear today, his barrister said he was still in Pakistan.

Paul Hodgkinson disclosed that Anjum was caring for a poorly relative and it seemed that he had been unfortunate with both himself and members of his family becoming ill there.

Faiz, of Myrtle Place, Glasgow, had two co-accused who had been dealt with already, the court heard.

The Bench Warrant was issued on the last occasion when he didn’t turn up.

Judge Colin Burn left the warrant in place so that Anjum will be arrested when and if he returns to the United Kingdom.
