A BRADFORD woman has been fined a hefty sum after she was caught driving at more than twice the speed limit.

Hawwa Farooq, of Hollybank Road, in the Great Horton ward of Bradford, drove her Mini Cooper on the A644 Brighouse and Denholme Road, Queensbury, between Foxhill Primary School and Glazier Road, Queensbury, Bradford at 61mph- the speed limit was 30mph.

At Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court, a Collection Order was made and she was fined £750, ordered to pay costs of £90.

In total she was fined £840 which must be paid by January 27, 2023.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration.
