SECTIONS of the M606 could be closed in both directions as maintenance work takes place throughout 2023.

The closure, which also affects slip roads and link roads to the motorway, will enable National Highways to safely carry out maintenance and improvement works.

The works are expected to take place overnight between 8pm and 6am during a period beginning on Monday February 6 and ending on Saturday December 23.

A Traffic Order has been imposed to place prohibitions on the following lengths of carriageway:

(i) the M606 Motorway, in both directions, between Chain Bar Roundabout and the A6177 Chase Way;

(ii) all slip roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described above; and

(iii) all link roads leading from the lengths of carriageway described above.
