OFFICERS found a stolen bike in a garden and arrested two people after the owner was allegedly assaulted.
West Yorkshire Police received a report of a bicycle being stolen and an assault in the Tyersal area of Bradford on Saturday afternoon.
The bike was later found in the garden of a property which was "a considerable distance away" from where the alleged theft and assault happened.
Officers later arrested two people in connection with the bike theft and assault.
Police have launched an investigation into both reports.
The bike was seized and returned to its rightful owner.
A statement from West Yorkshire Police, published yesterday, said: "Yesterday afternoon, West Yorkshire Police received a report of a theft of pedal cycle and assault that had occurred in the Tyersal area of Bradford.
"After carrying out enquiries, officers located the bike inside the garden of a property a considerable distance away from the incident location."
