A WOMAN must not drink alcohol for 90 days after being charged with a spate of offences at a Bradford police station including assaults on officers.

Candice Underwood, 40, of Shetcliffe Lane, Bierley, Bradford, appeared in court on three charges.

In the first, racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing, Underwood was found guilty of using abusive words or behaviour which was found to be racially aggravated. This offence took place at Trafalgar House Police Station, Bradford, on February 19, 2021.

Underwood was given a community order, which included an alcohol abstinence requirement for 90 days. She was also given a £95 victim surcharge and £200 costs.

The community order also covered two separate charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker, which Underwood was also found guilty of.

These two offences took place on two separate police officers at Trafalgar House Police Station, Bradford, on February 19, 2021. She was also ordered to pay £100 compensation for each of the two assault by beating on an emergency worker charges. A collection order was made by the court.

Underwood pleaded not guilty to all three charges at a previous hearing but she was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on January 4, 2023.
