A BRADFORD-born actor appeared as a contestant on a TV quiz show where she had to sort out the truth from lies.

Natalie Anderson, best known for her roles in TV soaps Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, was one of four contestants on BBC One’s Bridge of Lies.

She joined forces with fellow TV soap actors John Partridge, formerly of EastEnders, as well as her fellow Hollyoaks star Richard Blackwood and Faye Brookes, who used to be in Coronation Street.

The show was broadcast on BBC One on Saturday, January 14.

In the quiz, hosted by Ross Kemp, the contestants face the bridge one by one, choosing who faces each crossing depending on the question category.

Each bridge crossing has 32 potential steps, which include 22 truths and 10 lies, and they must cross by stepping on the truths and avoiding the lies, earning money for each correct answer.

Once each player has faced the bridge on their own, those who have been successful will team up to face the final crossing for a chance to take home the cash.

But Natalie did not make it across the bridge in her round where she had to name which were the real musical instruments. However, she was given a second chance when she competed in the show’s final game.
