A MAN has appeared in court for overtaking in an unsafe manner on a Bradford road.
Mohammad Haaris, 30, of Legrams Avenue, Bradford, faced a charge of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road/in a public place without due care and attention.
He was caught overtaking in a BMW car in an unsafe manner and driving below the standard of a careful, competent driver.
The offence took place on Manningham Lane, Bradford, on January 4, 2022.
Harris was handed five driving licence points, fined £55 and ordered to pay £620 costs and a £55 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court.
Haaris was given no separate penalty for a charge of using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread – less than 1.6mm. This offence also took place on Manningham Lane, Bradford, on January 4, 2022.
He was found guilty and sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on January 6, 2023.
