POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary at a house in the Woodside area of Bradford this morning.

Officers were called to Wellington Court shortly after midnight after two men – armed with a weapon – were said to have forced their way into a property.

The victim suffered injuries after being assaulted, and police said that initial enquiries suggest that it may have been a “targeted attack”.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 12.22am this morning to reports that two suspects had forced entry into the property and were armed with a weapon. 

“The suspects then assaulted the victim, leaving him with injuries to his legs. 

“The two suspects are both described as white males – one quite tall with short, blonde hair, and the other 6ft 2ins tall, wearing a blue padded jacked. 

“Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity to come forward with information. 

“CCTV enquiries, including house to house, are being carried out by Bradford CID.
