POLICE are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in a fail to stop collision in Leeds on Friday.

The incident took place at around 9.05pm at the junction of Leeds and Bradford Road and Swinnow Lane.

An elderly male was crossing the road when he was struck by a motor vehicle which then failed to stop. 

As a result of the collision the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital

The vehicle travelled from Leeds and Bradford Road at the junction with the Halfway House pub and turned right onto Swinnow Lane, and then left on to Broad Lane.
