One business owner on Morley Street, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I’m not sure what’s happened, I’ve just seen the police scene now.

“You do get anti-social behaviour here sometimes, it’s not a place I’d describe as a quiet area, but I’m still shocked to see police here, as you would be any time.

“I just hope it doesn’t affect business. We don’t want people to be put off coming around here. That wouldn’t be good for Bradford.”

Another business owner in the area, who also did not want to be named, added: “There’s been a few police cars coming in and out of the street. I don’t know what’s happened, and I haven’t heard anything.

“You do get a bit of trouble here, sometimes, but it’s still a big thing and it’s not nice to see.

“I hope that everything is okay and it’s nothing too serious.”
