THERE was an emergency services presence in Bradford city centre last night after reports of a “serious incident”.

A police cordon was in place on Sunbridge Road, close to the benches at its junction with Tyrrel Street, across the road from where it meets Centenary Square.

At least two police vans were in attendance at the scene.

There were unconfirmed reports circulating online that there was a stabbing in the area. This morning, West Yorkshire Police told the Telegraph & Argus that two people had been assaulted.

They were later taken to hospital, with one later being discharged.
