ARTS groups have been urged to bid for £60,000 funding to develop a live performance for this year’s BD: Festival.

Once known as Bradford Festival, the annual Summer event was rebranded last year, and will be held on July 28/29.

Now Bradford Producing Hub has announced that it will be offering £60k funding for a new performance to premier at the festival.

The Hub has suggested the performance could be an outdoor performance, a performance in a “non-traditional space” such as a car park or shop-ping centre or a series of linked performances across Bradford.

The performance must be for a “broad audience” and not be aimed at a single demo-graphic. It must also be entirely new – premiering at the festival.

Groups have until Monday January 30 to apply.
