THE stars of this year’s Alhambra Theatre pantomime have sent their best wishes to all of the staff and patients at a Bradford hospital.

City panto legend Billy Pearce led a video message from the cast of this year’s show, Jack and the Beanstalk, to staff and patients at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI).

The panto cast has been unable to attend the hospital wards in person this year for their annual festive present-giving. Instead, they tweeted their best wishes via a video on social media and said child patients would be getting a present from the cast.

In the video, posted on the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Twitter, Billy said: “Hiya kids, hello loves. We want to send our very best wishes to all of the staff at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and the NHS nurses and everybody involved.

“They all work so very, very hard. And especially to all of the kids and their parents.

“We missed coming to see you this year, but we all want to send our very, very best wishes to you.”

Jack and the Beanstalk, which also features former Emmerdale actor Danny Miller and Divina De Campo, runs at the Alhambra Theatre until January 22.
