GRASS sport pitches across the Bradford district are set to be closed this weekend.
Council owned pitches will be shut on January 14 and 15.
This is because of the current wet conditions with further heavy rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
It is the first time the Council has had to close their sport pitches this year.
A spokesperson from Bradford Council said: "Due to the already wet and heavy conditions and with further heavy rain forecast, Bradford Council has made the decision to close all their grass sports pitches for the coming weekend (January 14 and 15).
"This is the first closure they have had to make this year and it is hopeful that fixtures will be back to normal next weekend."
