A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash between a motorbike and car in the Bradford district, police have now revealed.

The collision occurred on Cliffe Avenue in Baildon at around 5pm on Monday, January 9.

Officers attended the scene and Yorkshire Ambulance Service took a man, who suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, to hospital.

At the time, West Yorkshire Police were forced into shutting the road both ways from Baildon Road to Old School Way.

First had to divert their 626 bus service on the evening due to the incident.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We were called at 17.21 to reports a car and motorbike had been in collision on Cliffe Avenue.

"A man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries."
