The police watchdog has provided an update on the latest stage of its investigation into a horror crash in Baildon which killed a young mum.
The fatal collision happened on Baildon Road (B6151), Baildon, near its junction with Pasture Road, at 11.47pm on January 3, 2023.
A witness said the vehicle - a silver Vauxhall Vectra - came off the road and flipped into a position where it meant the car's roof hit a wall first.
Police said the vehicle failed to stop for them and was being pursued by officers at the time of the crash.
A referral was then made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Six people were in the car at the time of the crash, the IOPC confirmed, and all but one survived.
Tributes have been pouring in for 18-year-old Amber Deakin, who leaves behind her 16-month-old son, Junior, and three siblings.
A 21-year-old man and 26-year-old man who were arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries.
In the latest update, a spokesperson for the IOPC said: “Work is ongoing gathering evidence, including CCTV footage from the area, and obtaining witness accounts from the individuals involved.”
