A BRADFORD woman assaulted a man and police officer with a knuckleduster at a petrol station.

Katie Drennan, of St Enochs Road, was found guilty of two offences - assault by beating and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place - at Kirklees Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.

The assaults occurred at Napoleon Petrol Filling Station, on St Helena Road, on June 17 of last year.

The 35-year-old initially pleaded not guilty on August 12.

The court found that the assault offence was aggravated as it was committed against an emergency worker.

Drennan was fined £840 and had to pay a £336 victim surcharge and court costs of £100.

She has 12 months to pay the £1,276 balance.

An order was made under Section 143 of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000 to deprive the defendant of her rights in relation to the knuckle duster.
