BRADFORD is among the cheapest places in the UK for a monthly gym membership, a new study has found.

For this index, Livefootballtickets.com took into consideration the number of gyms per 100,000 population, the average personal trainer cost per session, the median monthly gym membership cost, and the gym service ratings.

All these factors contributed to a final score depicting the best (and worst) UK cities to join the gym.

The study’s data revealed that Bolton is the best place to join the gym with an overall index score of 72.68/100.

Bradford was ranked fourth cheapest UK town or city with an average of £28.97 for a monthly membership.

Meanwhile, the study found Southampton as the city where people have to pay the least, with a median monthly gym membership cost of £24.19. Followed closely by Sunderland (£24.68) and Watford with £25.29.

In fifth place was Southend-on-Sea goes above it with £31.08.
