She paid a visit to the university on January 9 and in a video post on social media, Anita said: “Right, as some of you may well know I have been given the great honour of being the new chancellor at the University of Bradford and I’m in Bradford at this very moment.
“In fact, I’m on stage where I’ll be making my installation speech in March.
“Take a look. They’ve just had exams. Um, well this is where it’s going to happen.
“The countdown has begun. Bradford I’m coming for you.”
During her visit to campus, Anita, who was announced into the prestigious role in November last year, also got to meet students and had a picture taken with Professor Shirley Congdon, the university’s vice-chancellor.
