A MAN has avoided jail for a spate of offences including going equipped for theft in the Bradford district.

Frederick Thame, 32, of Liverpool Road, Manchester, was committed to prison for three charges.

For the first offence, using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence, he was committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months. This offence took place in Keighley on May 11, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £128 for this charge.

Thame jailed for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, to run consecutively, for stealing two bottles of Glennfiddich whisky and two bottles of Cardhu, worth a total of £149, from Asda, Keighley, on May 11, 2022.

He was jailed for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, to run consecutively, for a charge of going equipped for theft – not motor vehicle.

Thame was caught with rticles for use in the course of, or in connection with, theft, namely a large bag which had been foiled lined on May 11, 2022.

Thame was also handed a curfew requirement with electronic monitoring.

He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on December 1, 2022.
