A BRADFORD-born TV presenter narrowly missed out on making the final round when she was a contestant on a popular TV quiz show.

Ria Hebden, best known as an entertainment reporter on ITV’s daytime show Lorraine, was one of three contestants on the channel’s Catchphrase quiz, broadcast on January 7.

She competed against Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Diane Buswell and actor Neil Morrissey, as they all looked to identify familiar phrases using animated clues.

Ria correctly answered 10 of the catchphrases after the show’s opening four rounds, winning a total of £4,000 for the Lupus UK charity, which included correctly guessing a tiebreak bonus catchphrase worth £500.

But she missed out on qualifying for the show’s super catchphrase finale and the chance to win up to £50,000 for charity, as Neil came first with £4,500 raised for his charity. Diane was third, raising £1,700 for her charity.

All three will be trying to ‘say what they see’, as they guess well-known phrases for the chance to win £50,000 for their chosen charity.

It is not the first TV show where Ria has tested herself.

She appeared on last year’s series of ITV's Dancing On Ice. She was voted off a few weeks into the series after performing as Elsa to 'Into The Unknown' from Frozen 2.
