A MAN has appeared in court charged with being in possession of cocaine in Bradford.

Paul Capavanno, 52, of Mortimer Row, Bradford, faced one charge of possession of a controlled drug of class A – cocaine.

He was found with one small bag of cocaine, a controlled drug of class A, at Barkerend Road, Bradford, on November 16, 2022.

He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.

The one small bag of cocaine is to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Capavanno pleaded guilty to the possession of cocaine charge and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on December 29, 2022.
