Drivers travelling on the M62 were hit by delays at the height of rush hour on Monday morning.

Drivers heading onto M62 - between Junction 25 on A644 Wakefield Road (Brighouse), Junction 26 of the M606 and Junction 1 (Chain Bar) – faced slight delays.

At its peak, traffic was moving at around 18 mph along Junction 26 of the M606 and between 35 mph to 42 mph at Junction 27 of the M621.

It comes after two lanes on the M62 were closed to motorists earlier on Monday morning.

A broken down vehicle on the M62 Eastbound and ongoing roadworks on the M621 have also been cited as reasons for the delays.
