SHOCKING video footage has emerged of two hooded figures harassing a mum of two on a Bradford housing estate.

It comes after incidents of criminal damage and harassment along with a drugs raid and an arrest which occurred over the holiday period in late December on Southcliffe Way, Baildon.

Baildon mum Rachel Cowling has spoken out about the incidents and situation which she has described as "like hell on earth".

"I would never have expected the world to be like this," said Ms Cowling. "It's like hell on earth."

After police investigated reports of criminal damage and harassment on December 27, which saw a masked individual attempt to damage and remove a ring doorbell camera on her home, the same evening the windscreen and rear window of her car were damaged by a brick.

Acting on community intelligence, police then carried out a drugs raid on Southcliffe Way, seizing drugs paraphernalia. Further community intelligence resulted in a 62-year-old man being arrested on suspicion of intent to supply Class B drugs.

Ms Cowling then shared video footage with the T&A of two hooded figures showing them making threats, swearing and rude gestures outside the door of her flat.

Ms Cowling also said that she has received death threats on Facebook, which the police have recorded as a nuisance online messages investigation.

"I'm getting death threats on Facebook. They're quite aggressive messages. One said 'I'm going find where your children play'.

"It's all happened so quickly. My brain's trying to process it all. I'm worried I'm going to have a panic attack. But I'm glad I've made a stand."

Inspector Craig Stothers, of Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Criminal damage and harassment will not be tolerated and the victim has been assured that these matters will be taken seriously and investigated fully.

“We are working with our partners at InCommunities to resolve these matters.

“On December 29 at Southcliffe Way, police acted on community intelligence and carried out a drugs raid at a property there, drugs paraphernalia was seized and enquiries are ongoing.

“ After further community intelligence a 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, he’s been bailed pending further enquiries. The man has since left the flats after his tenancy was terminated.

“ We have also identified a number of under-18s involved in non-criminal anti-social behaviour and have referred them to relevant agencies including family support, early intervention and education support as well as anti-social behaviour notices where appropriate.

“Anyone who has information about these incidents is asked to contact the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101, or via the live chat options at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contactus or by email directly to shipleynt@westyorkshire.police.uk
