A MAN has been jailed for a spate of shop thefts where he stole detergent, vodka and bottles of Jack Daniels.

Kieran Teasdale, 28, of Sowden Buildings, Bradford, was jailed for a total of 18 weeks.

On December 28 last year, he stole "various detergents" from a McColl's on Otley Road, Undercliffe. 

They were worth a total of £175.59.

On the same day, he stole six bottles of Jack Daniels from the Asda supermarket on Rooley Lane. They were worth a total of £153. 

On December 29, he stole four bottles of vodka, again from the Rooley Lane Asda. They were worth a total of £68. 

On the same day, he was caught with cannabis. 

Court documents described it as a "serious pattern of offending".  

As well as the 18-week jail sentence, he was ordered to pay a surcharge of £154 to fund victim services. 

The cannabis will be destroyed. 

Teasdale was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on December 30.
