A BRADFORD district WWE wrestler is gearing up for a special fight night in his home country this summer.

Luke Menzies, otherwise known as World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Ridge Holland, reacted to news that one of the organisation’s biggest shows of the year is coming to England.

WWE Money in the Bank will take place at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, July 1.

The premium live event features men’s and women’s matches where multiple wrestlers battle it out to be the first to climb the ladder and grab a briefcase that contains a contract for a guaranteed championship clash at any time within the following 12 months.

Menzies tweeted a 90-second video promoting the forthcoming show in London, alongside a message: “Bringing the fire to the big smoke! #fightnight #brawlingbrutes.”

He also tagged his Brawling Brutes group members Pete Dunne and Stephen Farrelly, otherwise known as Butch and Sheamus, in his message.

Menzies will be hoping to either be in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match or another contest at the event.

It is the first time a major WWE premium live event has been held in England since SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium. It also follows the success of last September’s WWE Clash at The Castle event held at the Principality Stadium.
